Recording the NTSC format
signals (DVD only)
You can record a NTSC format signals from the
analog or the DV inputs to a recordable DVD disc.
1. Load a recordable DVD discs formatted in NTSC.
(Refer to "How to create an NTSC formatted
DVD disc" on below.)
2. Set [Disc Record Mode] option to [NTSC] on the
setup menu (see page 20).
3. Choose [TV DVD] using HOME menu. (see page
14).
4. Press AV/INPUT repeatedly to select an external
NTSC input (AV1, AV2, or DV).
5. Press REC (z) once.
6. Press STOP (x) to stop recording.
How to create an NTSC formatted DVD
disc
1. Press AV/INPUT repeatedly to select an external
NTSC input (AV1, AV2, or DV).
2. Load a recordable DVD discs.
3. Set [Disc Rec Mode] option to [NTSC] on the
setup menu (see page 20).
4. Initialize the disc on the setup menu.
(Refer to "Disc Format" on page 21.)
Note:
You cannot record the NTSC signal on the DVD
disc formatted in PAL.
You cannot use the dubbing, copying, or DVD
editing function while a DVD disc formatted in NTSC
is inserted or while viewing an NTSC format signals
from the analog or the DV inputs.
You cannot record the NTSC signal on the HDD.
