Engine Will Not Start

Is there fuel in the tank?
YES
Is there oil in the engine?
YES
Is there a spark from the
spark plug?
YES
Is the fuel reaching the
carburetor?
YES
If the engine still does
not start, take the genera-
tor to a authorized
KDAR service center.

Replace the
spark plug.
To Check:
1. Remove the spark plug cap and
clean any dirt from around the
spark plug.
2. Remove the spark plug and in-
stall the spark plug in the plug
cap.
3. Set the plug side electrode on the
cylinder head.
4. Crank engine, sparks should
jump across the gap.
NO
To Check:
1. Turn off the engine switch and
loosen the carburetor drain
screw.
2. Fuel should flow from the drain
when the fuel valve is turned on.

Still no Spark
NOTE: The nearest KDAR authorized ser-
vice center can be found by visiting
www.hotmaxtorches.com.
Refill the tank.
Add the recommended oil.
Take the generator to an
authorized KDAR genera-
tor service center.
WARNING
Be sure there is no spilled fuel
in the area.
Gasoline is extremely flamma-
ble and is explosive under cer-
tain conditions.
Clean the fuel sediment cup
and fuel filter.
