Step 4 - Connect SCSI Cable
The pins of the Ultra Wide SCSI cables are extremely easy
to damage, so be very careful plugging and unplugging
them. Carefully ... connect the SCSI cable to the Ultra
Wide SCSI card which you have already installed. Then
connect the remaining 68 pin end to the back of the Glyph
drive in either the top or bottom 68 pin connector. These
two connectors are functionally identical and the open
connector can be used for adding more ultra wide devices
or for termination (more on termination in this guide).
68 pin Ultra Wide SCSI Cable
Both ends have 68 pins
Glyph uses a 68 pin High Density connector for our
LVD/ultra wide drives, so we've supplied a 68 to 68 pin
Ultra Wide SCSI cable with each Glyph ultra wide drive. If
you already have one or more ultra wide SCSI devices
connected to your ultra wide SCSI card, you need to daisy
chain your drives together. If your Ultra Wide SCSI card
uses a connector other than 68 pin, call Glyph Technical
Support.
