Troubleshooting

Symptom
Errors when reading
from or writing to drive
in Pro Tools.
Mac OS 9: Glyph
FireWire drive does
not mount on the
Desktop.
Mac OS 9 or X: Glyph
FireWire drive is
visible on the FireWire
bus, but not on the
Desktop.
Mac OS 9 or X: When I
unplug the drive from
the FireWire bus an
error message
appears on the screen.

Diagnosis
Your Pro Tools DAE Check DAE setting in Pro
setting may be wrong. Tools.
No obvious reason? Run Norton Speed Disk.
The cables may not Connect cables.

The Mac FireWire Enable FireWire extensions:
