Connecting an external monitor

An analogue monitor is connected to the notebook or the optional dock (VGA monitor port).
A digital monitor is connected to the optional dock (display port or DVI-D monitor port). The
screen output is limited to a maximum of two screens at the same time (see
Page 43, the section on "Switching the setting for the screen output").

► Switch off the notebook and the external monitor.
► Plug the data cable of the external monitor into the monitor port.
► First switch on the external monitor and then the notebook.
You can also switch back and forth between the external monitor and the LCD
screen of the notebook, see chapter
You can display the same picture on the external monitor and the
notebook LCD screen simultaneously.
