5.4.1. General Settings
1. Signage Display Name
Set up PD name "PD_" + Ethernet Mac Address.
Note:
Input limitation:
(1) length: Max 36 characters
(2) format: no limit
2. Boot Logo
1) Scalar OSD menu to control Android boot logo enable/disable
Scalar OSD menu operation
RCU: Home -> Configuration2 -> Logo -> On/Off/User
In user mode, user can choose their own boot logo animation file.
Note:
(1) Boot animation file name: bootanimation.zip
(2) Will pop-up a window for user to select USB and SD card. No
priority issue.
2) When boot logo is selected, PD will check if there is
bootanimation.zip in the USB and SD card.
Function introduction:

Option description
Use customized boot animation file which is
copied from SD card or USB
Use boot animations file under SD card
Use boot animations file under USB

Save
If the option focus on
bootanimzation.zip from the SD card or USB to /data/local and set it
as boot logo.
c.
Forget
Press Forget key to delete /data/local bootanimation.zip and not
show boot logo.
d.
Cancel
Close dialogue w/o changes.
Scenario introduction:
Case 1
The user don't select customized boot logo. PD does not find any
bootanimation.zip file under SD and USB. The list will be blank. Save
and Forget button will be grayed out.
Case 2
The user puts customized bootanimzation.zip file in the SD and USB.
The default priority is SD card , so the PD will automatically select
the file in the SD card only. The file in the USB drive will be ignored.
In case the bootanimzation.zip is only in the USB drive, then the PD
will select the file in the USB drive (as the SD card has no file).
