II Make Recoveries from Recovery DVD
There is also a copy of RP on the Recovery DVD.
3 methods are available (Non Destructive, Destructive & Full Recoveries) for
making Recoveries from Recovery DVD, we will give detailed explanations
for these 3 methods in the following:
Standard Recoveries include Non Destructive & Destructive recoveries:
Non Destructive
System files from RP(in DVD) are copied to system files
area in UP(If there are more than 1 UP, then 1st UP(C drive)), and user data
area stays intact.
Destructive
System files from RP(in DVD) are copied to system files area in UP(If there
are more than 1 UP, then 1st UP(C drive)), and user data area is formatted.
Full Recovery
Hard Disk is restored to the original situation when product was shipped.
This table will make it clear for you to understand the differences among all 3
recoveries:
In our example, we assume there are 1 RP & 3 UPs(C:, D: & E:)
