16 Fill the milk carafe with water up to the MIN level and insert it into the
machine.
Pull out the carafe dispensing spout to the right up to the "

Place a large container (1.5 l) under both the carafe dispensing spout
and the coff ee dispensing spout.

Rinse Phase

18 Press the " " button to start the rinse cycle.
Note:
The rinse cycle may be paused by pressing the "
cycle, press the " " button again. This allows you to empty the container or
to leave the machine unattended for a short time.
19 When the amount of water needed for the rinse cycle has been com-
pletely dispensed, this icon is displayed. Press the "
the descaling cycle.
Note:
If the water tank is not fi lled up to MAX level, the machine might require one
more rinse cycle. Fill the water tank and put it back into the machine.
Repeat from step 18.

The machine warms up and performs the automatic rinse cycle.
