    1. Introduction Thank you for purchasing Media Wand TV Capture Card. The Media Wand TV Capture card is capable to capture video and audio signals then play on PC, it comes with a powerful and user friendly Medi-TV application utility turning your PC into an entertainment center. The TV Capture card is featured with Time-Shifting, PIP (Picture In Picture), Schedule Recording, Channels Preview and Snap Shot.

    3. Software Device Driver & Application Installation This chapter describes how to install Media Wand TV Capture Card device driver and software utility. Detailed capture card features like TimeShift, PIP, Auto Scan, Channel Preview, Frame Capture…etc. will be described. 3.1 Software Installation Procedures 3.1.1 Install DirectX 9 Before installing your new Media Wand TV Capture Card device, it is necessary to install DirectX 9 or higher for your Operating System.

The following chapters include step-by-step procedures and detailed information on the controls of Media Wand TV Capture Card. 3.2.1 Launching Medi-TV Application 3.2.1.1 Main Window Main Window is the most important window of Medi-TV that displays the live video or playback.

  • Page 35 3.2.1.3 TimeShift Enable/disable TimeShift. This feature allows user to pause, rewind and instant replay live TV program. Users can take breaks during a TV show or movie and will never miss a scene again. Once TimeShift starts, PIP (Picture In Picture) will operate at same time. A smaller display screen at upper left corner will record video program and live program still plays at regular screen.

    Configuration. 3.3.1 TV Tuner Setup The TV Tuner setup property allows you to customize and configure your TV channels or edit your favorite memory channel. You can automatically scan your cable or antenna signal for available channels.

    3.3.2 Video Setup The Video setup property page allows you to adjust video color, select input video source standard, display mode, and display resolution. Color: To adjust display color.     3.3.3 Preview Setup The Preview setup property page allows you to customize and configure your TV channels for channel surfing. At standard mode, you can set 4, 9, 16, 25 channels on your screen. Besides, you can set time duration for next available channel to be previewed. Standard: Display 4, 9, 16, or 25 preview screens.

    3.3.5 Scheduler Setup The Scheduler setup property allows you to set timer for TV program scheduled recording. In order to preset timer to record a TV program, you have to select a time slot then set time frame which you want to record TV program. Double click the time slot, the window below will appear.

    3.4 Using FM FM is a powerful application which provides you listen and record FM radio. There are 30 memory channels can be assigned and you can use scheduler for recording to a specific memory channel. The FM control panel is designed to look like controls on an electric appliance. You can click button on control panel to do the function you want.

    Default Capture Path: The default location for recorded file. FM Capture File: Captured audio file format. Audio Capture: You can choose audio source from Line-In or Microphone-In; Select audio quality (different frequencies or mono). 3.4.3 Scheduler Setup The Scheduler setup property allows you to set timer for FM program scheduled recording.
