It is a violation of California Public Resource Code
Section 4442 or 4443 to use or operate the engine on
any forest-covered, brush-covered, or grass-covered
land unless the engine is equipped with a spark
arrester, as defined in Section 4442, maintained in
effective working order or the engine is constructed,
equipped, and maintained for the prevention of fire.
The enclosed engine owner's manual is supplied
for information regarding the US Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Emission
Control Regulation of emission systems, maintenance,
and warranty. Replacements may be ordered through
the engine manufacturer.
Tire Information—The DOT tire information is located
on the side of each tire. This information gives load
and speed ratings. Replacement tires should have the
same or better ratings; refer to
17)
to ensure that the tires on your machine meet or
exceed the weight requirements of your machine.
If you believe that your machine has a defect which
could cause a crash or could cause injury or death,
you should immediately inform the National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) if you live in
the United States or Transport Canada if you live in
Canada, in addition to notifying The Toro Company.
If NHTSA or Transport Canada receives similar
complaints, it may open an investigation, and if it finds
that a safety defect exists in a group of machines, it
may order a recall and remedy campaign. However,
NHTSA or Transport Canada cannot become involved
in individual problems between you, your dealer, or
The Toro Company.
