Entering text
Use the virtual keyboard to enter text.
To open the virtual keyboard, select
• S ome languages are not supported by the virtual
keyboard. To enter text, change the input language to
one of the supported languages.
• W hen using the computer for extended periods, it is
recommended to enter text with the physical keyboard.
• T he on-screen keyboard is only available in tablet
mode. To change to tablet mode, select
mode in the taskbar.
Changing the keyboard layout
To change the keyboard layout, select
following:

: Simplified Qwerty keyboard
•
: Split Qwerty keyboard for entering text with two hands
•
: Handwriting keyboard used to enter text from written
words
•
: Standard Qwerty keyboard
on the taskbar.

• D elete a preceding character.
• M ove to the next line.
• C reate an uppercase character. For all caps, tap
it twice.
• C hange the keyboard layout.
• M ove the cursor.
• E nter a space.
• E nter emoticons.
• E nter numerals and punctuation marks.
