Hardware Installation Note: Prior to use, it is recommended to write down the factory default password for this device. The password can be found on the sticker located underneath the SolarSwitch. Rack Mounting 1. Attach the 1U rackmount bracket (included) to either side of the SolarSwitch. - Page 5 3. Remove the four-pin connector from the battery terminal block. 4. Crimp a ferrule on one end of the wire. 5. Insert the crimped wire into the appropriate slot on the four-pin connector. Using a flathead screwdriver, secure the wire to the connector by tightening the screw until it stops.
- Page 6 6. Repeat steps four and five until the connector is fully occupied with all four wires. 7. Connect wires and NTC Thermistor to batteries. Note: The battery will not be charged without connecting the NTC Thermistor. 24VDC Thermistor Thermistor Note: Use SLA, AGM or Gel Lead batteries.

Page 8: Connecting Ethernet
If connected to the LAN via Ethernet, the SolarSwitch will attempt to obtain an IP address automatically from a DHCP server. Use the Ubiquiti Device Discovery Tool to determine its IP address. If there is no DHCP server on the LAN, the SolarSwitch will fall back to the following IP address: 192.168.1.20... -

User Interface 1. Launch a web browser and enter the IP address of the SolarSwitch. Press Enter (PC) or Return (Mac). 2. Enter ubnt in the Username field. 3. Enter the password in the Password field (the password can be found on the sticker located under the port cover.) 4. -

Enabling PoE To enable PoE on the SolarSwitch: 1. Click Output on the Settings screen. 2. Click the toggle button from OFF to ON, for each port you want to enable. -
