    1. Hard Disk Installation Prepare a screwdriver. Take 1U chassis as an example, this series NVR could be installed two hard disks in the chassis, the largest capacity supports to 4TB. Hard Disk Installation Steps： 1. Remove four screws on the side of 2.
  • Page 5 For 4CH/8CH NVR model, the USB ports in front and bottom of the two ports in back(as the structural diagram show above) share the same channel. If you plug two USB devices into these two ports at the same time, they would not function normally.

    3. Host Side Operation 3.1 Start the System Plug power cable into the adapter and switch the power on, the power LED will light in red and the NVR will start. After booting, the video output default to multi-window output mode. The host side main screen.

But we suggest to shutdown the device from the “Power Off” button to avoid damaging the device from power failure by accident.     4. System Toolbar 4.1 Display Setting Click “Display Setting”icon to bring the menu below. Language: Select the language you need. Then restart the device AutoLogout: System automatically logout and lock time. TV Adjust: Adjust the display position. Display: Set monitor Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Hue and Transparency. Resolution: The default resolution is 1024x768, please select the best resolution according the monitor condition.

    4.2 PTZ Setting Click “PTZ” icon to open the menu below. You can Zoom in/out, change Iris and Focus. Setting the cruise time and speed. Tips: Digital Zooming During image preview and playback, roll mouse roller to do digital zooming, it zoom the image as Zoom Out mouse pointer as the center.

    The channel is recording. Light flashing means frame lost or recording lost. There are six main setting options: Device, Channel, Network, Alarm, Account, and System.

  • Page 17 Setting weekday and period. The way setting for Motion & Alarm schedule are the same with Record. And they would all display in the “Schedule Record” menu. You can set Pre and Post Record time. Motion If you want to set video lost, please check “Enable Motion Detection” first.

This port is for login NVR by IE, input NVR IP address or domain name, you need to add colon and HTTP port number. Example: As the screenshot above, when you want to access NVR by IE in LAN, first, please add 2 forwarding rules in the router, the IP address is 192.168.1.188, the forwarding ports are 5050-5053, 80.

  • Page 24 5. Account Setting There are two sub options for “Account” Setting: Account Setting and User Online. You can add , delete, modify user, and set user privilege. You can set the action a user can take in “User Privilege”.

  • Page 27 HDD Setting You can format the onboard HDD. Update You can update the device through the upgrade file on the external storage. Upgrade include firmware upgrade, boot screen image upgrade, and patch upgrade. Except USB memory upgrade, it also support to upgrad through network.
  • Page 28 Note: When the NVR is upgrading, DO NOT perform any other operations or power off it, otherwise the NVR will fail to enter the system , and have to be send back to factory for repairing. After upgrading, please reboot the device. Auto Reboot You can disable auto reboot or set auto reboot every day, every week, or once(on specific date).

    4.4 Playback Click “Playback” icon, to open the window below. Channel Select: Select the channels that need do playback, system will find the required recording file. The date that has recorded is highlighted by red color in calendar. Date Select: Select the playback date.     You can view image which captured on specific date. 4.10 IP Channel Setting Manual Search Right click on th main screen and select “IP Channel Setting”> “Manual”, click Search button, NVR will search out all IP cameras in the LAN, it will take 18-30 seconds. A –Area is cameras IP address searching area——click Search to get the camera IP addresses in LAN.
  • Page 33 D-Area is camera user name and password filling area——this area is camera network parameter information. Auto Search Right click to select “IP channel Setting” > “Auto”. If the IP camera has private protocol with NVR, NVR will assign IP address to the camera automatically, after finish the searching, it will connect the image automatically.

Preview 5.1 Drag and Drop the Image The preview image location can be drag and drop to different place as necessary, but the channel physical address will keep the same 5.2 Drag to Change Channel Sequence Right click to select “IP Channel Setting” > ”Drag to change channel sequence”, then drag the image, IP camera will reconnect in the new channel, during this process, the image will lost for some while till the image connect sucessfully.
