Menu functions

live cast settings

Use this menu to change the settings for using the
live! Cast feature.
Activation: set whether or not the phone
receives live! Cast messages from the live! Cast
server.
Edit channel: edit the channels from which the
phone receives live! Cast messages.
Ticker speed: set the speed at which the live!
Cast headlines scroll across the screen.
Number of message ticker viewer: set the
number of headlines the thicker will display.
Use in roaming: set whether or not the phone
receives live! Cast messages while roaming
outside of your phone area.
Connection: create and customise the profiles
containing the settings for receiving live! Cast
messages.

Camera settings

Use this menu to customise the settings for using
the camera.
Camera settings: change the default settings
for taking photos.
Camcorder settings: change the default
settings for recording video clips.

Network settings

(Menu #.9)
Use this menu to customise settings for connecting
to a network.
Network selection
(Menu #.9.1)
This network service allows you to manually select
the network to be used while roaming outside of
your home area, or to let the network be chosen
automatically.
You can select a network other than your home
network only if there is a valid roaming agreement
between the two.
Network mode
(Menu #.9.2)
Use this menu to select the network you use.
Automatic: the phone scans for available
networks.
GSM 900/1800: the phone operates in the
combined GSM 900/1800 network.
GSM 1900: the phone operates in the GSM
1900 network. This option is only available in the
U.S.A.
UMTS: the phone operates in UMTS (3G
network) networks. You can get a higher speed
quality than on lower generation networks, and
use advanced data and information services,
such as video calls.
