1. Scope 1.1 Product Overview The Spectrex Model 20/20U, 20/20UB is a UV Flame Detector. It is designed to sense the occurrence of fire and flames and subsequently activate an alarm or an extinguishing system directly or through a control circuit for maximum fire protection.

2.7 System Configuration The Spectrex model 20/20U, 20/20UB is a self-contained Optical Flame Detector that can function as a stand alone unit directly connected to external devices as alarm systems or automatic fire extinguishing systems. The same detector can form part of a more complex system where a plurality of detectors and other devices are integrated through a dedicated control unit.

Operating Instructions 7.1 Scope The following instructions are designed to obtain optimal performance from the detector over its life-cycle. 7.2 Power-Up Apply power and wait up to 40 seconds for the automatic self-test of the detector.
