    General Information WARNING! This unit does not contain any user- serviceable parts. Please leave all maintenance work to qualifi ed personnel. Setup precautions Finding a suitable location – Place this unit on a fl at, hard and stable surface. Never place the unit on a carpet.

    Step 1: Placing the speakers The Philips Home Theatre System is simple to install. However, proper system placement is critical to ensure an optimum sound experience. Place the front left and right speakers at equal distances from the TV and at an angle of approximately 45 degrees from the listening position.

You can connect the audio output from an audio/video device (e.g. DVD Recorder, VCR, Cable/Satellite Box, game console or TV) to the main unit in order to enjoy the multi-channel surround sound capabilities.

    HDMI or DVI products without HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) will result in no Video or Audio output. EasyLink: Philips EasyLink uses the HDMI CEC industry standard protocol to share Networks, functionalities between the unit and its connected devices. This feature is only available if you connect this unit to a HDMI CEC compliant TV with a HDMI cable.
