    MOUNTING OF HANDLE CAUTION: Before doing any work on the petrol edger, always stop the engine and pull the spark plug connector off the spark plug.     BEFORE START OF OPERATION Inspection and refill of engine oil – Perform the following procedure, with the engine cooled down. – Set the engine level, remove oil cap (Fig. 1), and check to see whether or not there is oil in the range between the upper limit and lower limit marks of the oil pipe (Fig.

    CORRECT HANDLING OF MACHINE – Before edging, water the area to soften the ground and make edging easier. – Before edging, check the area and remove all obstacles and objects that could be thrown. – Plan to edge regularly to make it easier to keep a neat edge and to avoid having to make more than one pass.
  • Page 13 4) Recoil starter Pull the start knob gently until it is hard to pull (compression point). Then, return the start knob, and pull it strongly. Never pull the rope to the full. Once the start knob is pulled, never release your hand immediately.

    SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS CAUTION: Before doing any work on the petrol edger, always stop the engine and pull the plug cap off the spark plug (see “checking the spark plug”). Always wear protective gloves! To ensure a long service life and to avoid any damage to the equipment, the following servicing operations should be performed at regular intervals.

    CORRECT OMGAAN MET HET GEREEDSCHAP – Alvorens de grasranden te snijden, giet u er water op om de grond zacht te maken en het snijden van de grasranden te vergemakkelijken. – Alvorens de grasranden te snijden, controleert u het werkgebied en verwijdert u alle obstakels die geraakt en weggeworpen kunnen worden.
  • Page 32 4) Trekstartinrichting Trek voorzichtig aan de trekstarthandgreep tot u weerstand voelt (compressiepunt). Laat de trekstarthandgreep terugtrekken en trek er vervolgens krachtig aan. Trek nooit door tot aan het einde van het trekstartkoord. Nadat aan de trekstarthandgreep is getrokken, mag u hem niet onmiddellijk loslaten. Houd de trekstarthandgreep vast tot het trekstartkoord is opgewonden in de trekstartinrichting.

    ONDERHOUDSINSTRUCTIES LET OP: Voordat u werkzaamheden uitvoert aan de benzinegrasrandsnijder, moet u altijd de motor uitzetten en de bougiekap van de bougie aftrekken (zie “De bougie controleren”). Draag altijd veiligheidshandschoenen! Om een lange levensduur te garanderen en eventuele schade aan het gereedschap te voorkomen, moeten de volgende onderhoudswerkzaamheden regelmatig uitgevoerd worden.
