5–Recording
Recording starts automatically when the input signal level
exceeds the detection level set using the
item.
Recording stops automatically and the unit returns to
recording standby when the input signal level stays below
the detection level set using the

TIP
Use this function in combination with the pre-recording
function to record without missing the beginning of a
performance.

Track incrementation

You can start recording to a new file without interruption
manually. If a file reaches the maximum size (2GB), the unit
will also automatically start recording to a new file. In both
cases, the original file is saved and no gap occurs in the
recording.
Manual track incrementation during
recording
At any time during recording, you can manually start a new
file and continue recording easily.
1. Press the ¯ button during recording.
CAUTION
A new file cannot be created if the total number of files and
folders would exceed 5000.
Files shorter than two seconds cannot be created.
If the name of a newly created file would be the same as
that of an existing file, the number at the end of the name
is increased to give the new file a unique name.
When overdubbing, the track incrementation function
cannot be used.
