Introduction IML-D01 Millimeter Wave Radar for Vital Signs Monitoring is a very small and smart millimeter wave radar device which is independently researched and developed by Changsha Microbrain Intelligent Technology Com. Ltd. IML-D01 radar sensor could be applied to non-contacting measuring and monitoring of heart rate and respiration rate of a person including adults or children.

    Figure 2 Photo of IML-D01 MMW Radar 5.Mount and Debug Follow the belowing instructions carefully before installing IML-D01 Radar to user’s specific applications:  Orientation of the radar: The radar transceiver antenna is located at the heat sink of the base with the heat sink facing up and the gray radome facing outwards(the normal of the radome surface could be viewed as the illumination line) as shown in Figure 3.

    The monitoring software which runs in host computer provided by Changsha Microbrain Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. could obtain and analyze the raw data uploaded by IML-D01 sensor, and the monitoring figure and result could be directly displayed on the GUI of the software. The use of this tool is conducive to the use of IML-D01 sensor.

Any problems encountered in the using, please contact to the customer service of Changsha MicroBrain Intelligent Technology Co., LTD. 8.Frequently asked question 1) The host computer cannot scan the radar WIFI hotspot after the radar is powered A: The WIFI hotspot is not list on the WIFI list of host computer.
  • Page 13 it is recommended that the use keep strictly still at least 10-15 second. 3) The respiratory signal may be very subtle due to the body difference of different persons. 4) The heart rate veries fast. A: The heart rate may vary a lot during the test, which dues to the fact that the heart rate may change with the environmental noise, interference from other objects, respiratory harmonic frequency and other factors.
