Getting Started The B2-800 appliance is operated with specialized software designed to help you create and analyze realistic traffic for determining the operating characteristics of a device, system, or network under test. Due to the powerful traffic generating capabilities of the B2-800 appliance, precautions should be taken when connecting the test ports to an operational network.

Certifications and Standards Spirent B2-800 appliance complies with the limits for a Class A digital device in accordance with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when this equipment is operated in a commercial environment.

Spirent B2-800 Appliance Installation Guide Requirements Requirements This section describes the appliance system requirements, cable requirements, and network connectivity. Refer to Table 1 on page 11 for connector descriptions. Power Requirements Important: The B2-800 appliance mu be connected to a dedicated 208-240VAC @10A or 110-127VAC @15A circuit with no other connected equipment and its own breaker.

The appliance hardware is maintenance-free and should not be disassembled. Servicing the units yourself jeopardizes your warranty.
