  • Page 2 First Installation 2 Operating the Quick Release Fastener 1. Turn off the water supply to the ECAIA ionizer S (or other model). The drinking wa- ter supply hose, which supplies the unit with water, must no longer be pressurized. The ECAIA nitrate cartridge has quick-release fasteners (1/4”). Below is a description of how these quick-release fasteners work.
