Wiring configurations

Loop Class A loop wiring
To create a Local Class A Loop:
1.
Route the wire from the "B+" and the "B-"outputs on the Class A Adapter terminal block to the appropriate inputs on a peripheral notification
appliance.
2.
Route the wire from the first device to the next one. Repeat for each appliance.
3.
Once all the appliances have been added to the local Class A loop, close the loop by routing the wire to the "A+" and the "A-" outputs on the
Class A Adapter terminal block.
Extended Class A Loop Wiring
One repeater fitted with a Class A Adapter card can be wired as part of an Extended Class A Loop* Mode Configuration.
Note:
To achieve this a 4100-6103 Dual Class A Isolator (DCAI) must be part of the EPS configuration (manual 579-1029). The Extended Class A Loop Mode
does not support the 4905-9929 TrueAlert Isolator+ Module.
To wire the Repeater as part of an Extended Class A loop:
1.
Route the wire coming from the DCAI to the "A+" and the "A-" inputs on the Class A Adapter terminal block that is attached to the repeater.
2.
Route the wire from the "B+" and the "B-"outputs on the Class A Adapter terminal block to the appropriate inputs on a peripheral notification
appliance.
3.
Route the wire from the first appliance to the next one. Repeat for each device.
4.
Once all the devices have been added, route the wire back to the DCAI.
