PRELIMINARY SETTINGS

SETTING THE CLOCK
T h e t i m e i s d i s p l a y e d i n t h e 2 4 h o u r m o d e
s i n c e m o s t s h o r t w a v e s t a t i o n s o p e r a t e
a c c o r d i n g t o U T C . T h i s i s t h e s t a n d a r d t h a t
i s u s e d t h r o u g h o u t t h e w o r l d .
The clock will start when 3 A A s i z e
batteries a r e installed. The display s h o w s
0:00
1.Press "TIME S E T " . "0:00" . disappears
& for 12 seconds TIME SET flashes.
2.While FLASHING set t h e correct time
b y pressing the numbered buttons. As
y o u press t h e corresponding button the
number shows u p o n t h e LCD display.
3.If y o u press t h e wrong number, press the
" C" [CANCEL] button which deletes
o n e number a t a t i m e . Repeat step #2
again.
NOTE
Time can o n l y b e adjusted w h e n TIME
SET is i n flashing mode.
