Problem
Cannot charge the
battery.
Battery runs out quickly.
Shooting
Problem
The camera does not
shoot even if you press
the shutter release button.
Unable to view the shot
image.
Images do not appear on
the LCD Monitor.
Although the camera is
set to Auto Focus, it is
unable to focus.
Cause
Battery has reached the end of its
useful life.
It is being used at extreme high or low
temperatures.
Many shots are being taken in dark
places or other location requiring
extensive use of flash.
Cause
Battery is not loaded or is exhausted. Charge the rechargeable battery or
The camera is not on.
The camera is in Playback Mode.
The shutter release button is not
pressed all the way.
The SD memory card is not
formatted.
The SD memory card is full.
The SD memory card has reached
the end of its useful life.
The flash is charging.
The SD memory card is locked.
The contact surface of the SD
memory card is dirty.
The image confirmation time is too
short.
The camera is not on or the LCD
monitor is dark.
The VIDEO/AV cable is connected.
The screen display is in
Synchro-Monitor Mode.
The lens or AF Window is dirty.
The subject is not in the center of the
shooting range.
It is a hard-to-focus subject.
Solution
Replace with a new rechargeable
battery.

use the AC adapter.
Press the POWER button to turn the
camera on.
Press the 6 (Playback) button.
Press the shutter release button all
the way.
Format the card.
Load a new card, or delete unwanted
files.
Load a new memory card.
Wait until the auto focus/flash lamp
stops blinking.
Unlock the card.
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
Lengthen the image confirmation
time.
Turn the camera on or adjust the
brightness of the LCD monitor.
Disconnect the VIDEO/AV cable.
Press the DISP. button to change the
display.
Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth.
Shoot with Focus Lock.
Shoot with Focus Lock or Manual
Focus.
