RE108N Hardwire-to-Napco
Wireless Translator™
Features
• Converts hardwire zones into Napco-compatible wireless signals.
• 8 Hardwire loops with end-of-line resistor detection.
• Unique wireless ID (or loop) for each zone, plus 1 for main device.
• Transmit diversity for long reliable range.
• PIR powering (via external supply).
• 3 year operation on batteries (contacts only).
• Complete supervision of zone tampers and low battery.
Key Instructions
• Use with normally closed contacts in-line with 4.7 K-ohms end-of-line
resistors.
• 4-wire PIRs and Glassbreaks only. Not for use with 2-wire powered devices.
• External supply (wall-AC): 12V DC at least 50 mA.
• PIR usage: Adds current demand to external supply – see Specifications.
• 2 AA Alkaline batteries will drive contacts-only. Backup batteries cannot
drive a PIR; and under external supply failure, the PIR would likely alarm.
• Enrolling:
Put Panel in Enroll mode.
Use the 6-digit ID # and 1-digit checksum numbers
• Translator ID # ends in 0. Label on battery.
• Zone Loops 1-8 ID #s end in 1-8. Labels in cover.
Operation
• Translator Main Zone wireless transmission (1
