Introduction
To get the most out of your new carbon
monoxide alarm, please read through these
instructions before use. Please also save
the instructions in case you need to refer to
them at a later date.

General safety instructions

This carbon monoxide alarm has an
expected service life of 7 years. It should
then be scrapped to avoid it providing a
false sense of security.
You must not paint over or cover the carbon
monoxide alarm, nor should it be placed in
a location with signi� cant air circulation.

Use
Mount or place the carbon monoxide
alarm in the required location. Open the
battery compartment and insert 3 x 1.5 V
AA batteries. Check that the batteries are
correctly aligned, as shown in the battery
compartment.
A beep will be heard and all 3 indicators will
� ash.
Shortly after, only the green indicator will
� ash to indicate that the carbon monoxide
alarm is active.
If the carbon monoxide content in the air
exceeds the carbon monoxide alarm's limit
value, the red indicator � ashes and the
alarm signal sounds.
Test
Press and hold the TEST button for a few
seconds to test the alarm's function.
Faults
If the yellow indicator � ashes and a short
alarm signal is heard once a minute,
there is a fault with the carbon monoxide
alarm. Take the batteries out of the carbon
monoxide alarm, remove any dust from its
vents and replace the batteries. If the fault
continues, the carbon monoxide alarm
needs to be inspected by an expert.

Cleaning and maintenance

Brush the carbon monoxide alarm regularly
with a soft brush. The carbon monoxide
alarm must not be exposed to water or
liquids.
