1. Safety information Please read this manual carefully before the use. If you have any questions concerning this, our technical consultants would be glad to give you further information - 02722-63596-24. The manufacturer of the product is not liable for damages caused to people or things due to wrong- or irresponsible use of the product.
1.2. General safety rules • WARNING: When moving the divece, make sure that the product does not collide with anything. • WARNING: Before commissioning, after storage and transport, inspect the device visually to preclude mechanical damage. Before use please check all electrical functions.
• WARNING: At mobilisation processes with severely ill and absolutely immobile patients, the patient must be under continuous observation. It´s not allowed to leave the patient room. • WARNING: When attaching the T-element, please take care that the pap between mattress and T-element isn´t to big. The patient may slip through - >...
Weight: 110 KG 3. Purpose The seat- and stand-stabilizer LIANA is a medical product that was developed for patient seat- and stand-stabilisation, -mobilisation and -postioning. The patient- seat and -stand-stabilizer LIANA is for using in short- and long-term care facilities, hospitals, hospices, rehabilitation centers and for home care.

The decision on the application of the device lies with the doctor in charge. So you can avoid contra indications. NOT ALLOWED FOR PATIENT-TRANSPORT! The height and length adjustment can be operated with a hand switch (with cable connection) or by a panel on the column.
4. Mobilization of the patient In case of malfunction please press the emergency button at the device. The electrical circuit will shut off. A further use is not allowed. • Now, the patient can comfortably support his arms on the armrests. Then he has to be grip the handholds. The patient leans forward slightly (position of a ski jumper). • When rising up, the patient should be supported by two health professionals/ physiotherapists.

6. Handswitch and column keypad LIANA has two possibilities of control: A wired handswitch and an integrated column keypad. It is possible to adjust the height (1) and the longitudinal shift (2). The handswitch also has a battery level (3). Rev.
7. Handling 7.1. Switch-on/switch-off the device To turn on the device, insert the battery and close the back door. Please check the charge status -> battery level indicator on the handswitch. If the intensity is not set, the device remains in the standby mode. The motor is only activated by pressing the function keys.
7.3. Positioning armrests The positioning/adjustment of the armrest should be done before amounting the T-element. It´s possible to adjust the armrests lateral and longitudinal. To adjust the longitudinal position, untie the lower star grip (1), >Pic. I< to move it forward and backward. Replay the procedure at the other side. The scales at the exterior surfaces of the arms serve as adjusting aid.
Rotated armrests are used to move the patient to an upright position - Description under point 4. Pic. II 7.4. Positioning lumbar support It´s possible to adjust the height of the lumbar support. Pull the lock (1) >Pic. III< and move it in the direction you want. The interior of the rail is fitted with cut- outs for secure catching.
7.5. Positioning backrest It´s possible to adjust the height of the backrest. Pull the lock (1) >Pic. IV< and move it in the direction you want. The interior of the rail is fitted with cut-outs for secure catching. Pic. IV WARNING "Risk of entrapment"...
7.6. Positioning headrest The headrest is adjustable longitudinally, heightadjustable and rotable. To change the longitudinal position, release the locking lever (2) >Pic. V< and adjust it into the desired position. After adjusting, tight the locking lever (2) firmly again. To adjust the height of the headrest, pull the lock (1) >Pic. V< and adjust the height by the linkage (3) >Pic.
7.7. Positioning legrests The legrests are used to move the patient to an upright position – Description under >point 4 Insert the legrests into the side rails at the chassis and fix them by the locks (3) on each side. Adjust it into the desired position and fix it by the lock (1) >Pic. VI<. Adjust the desired height and lateral position of the legrests (2), >Pic.
7.8. Swivelling arm Pic. VII Open the joint of the swivelling arm by pulling the lock (1) >Pic. VII<. Swing the arm/bar out until it clicks into place. In order to return to the previous position, pull the lock (1) > Pic. VII< again and swing the arm/bar inwards until it clicks into place.
T-element and table 7.10. If the patient is not able to sit stable by himself, he should be stabilized by the stabilizer straps (see point 7.9). The T-element provides better support for the patient and prevents slipping. Furthermore it can safeguard the patient from possible strangulation. Amount the T-element into the provided opening at the bar right and left.
