Troubleshooting

Possible Solution
1. Ensure correct power supply voltage and circuit size.
2. Ensure circuit is free of shorts. Reset circuit breaker or
replace fuse.
3. Correct motor wiring connections (Page 24).
4. Test/replace if at fault.
5. Test/replace if at fault.
6. Adjust centrifugal switch/clean contact points. Replace
either if at fault.
7. Fix broken wires or disconnected/corroded
connections.
8. Replace switch.
9. Replace motor.
1. Lubricate dies (Pages 17 & 19).
2. Use correct type/size of workpiece.
3. Disconnect machine from power, remove notch
housing, and remove cut off piece.
4. Correct motor wiring connections (Page 24).
5. Reduce depth of cut/perform operation more than
once, ensure notching dies are sufficiently lubricated.
6. Clean motor, let cool, and reduce workload.
7. Test/replace if at fault.
8. Move machine closer to power supply; use shorter
extension cord.
9. Test/replace if at fault.
10. Adjust centrifugal switch/clean contact points. Replace
