Working principle The unit is designed to automatically monitor a programmed list (television stations) by comparing measurements from an internal tuner to user-defined reference settings. In case of failure, alarms are generated and sent by SNMP Traps or mail.

This status is then reevaluated with each monitoring cycle as the tests are performed again. When a measured value is out-of-tolerance, the state switches to ‘ERROR’, but the alarm is not triggered immediately.

A time window and a number of acceptable overshoots during this time window must be set. For instance, if we do not want more than 5 overshoots within 2 minutes, a counter will start at the 1 overshoot.

On the embedded web site, click the “Download” link in the menu (see section 4.3). Install the GOLDENEAGLE TV application. Default installation directory is: C:\Program Files\AUDEMAT\GOLDENEAGLE TV. Open the GOLDENEAGLE TV application using the desktop shortcut or from the ‘Start’ button: ’Programs’/’AUDEMAT’/’GoldenEagleTV’’GoldenEagleTV’. The login window pops up.

GOLDENEAGLE TV 6.0.x user manual – 07/2012 6.1.9. Support Stop / Restart : ‘Restart’ enables the user to restart the application to reinitialize the parameters. “Reboot equipment”: restarts the entire unit. “Power off equipment”: enables the unit to be switched off remotely.

7.2.9. Nicam Presence and Error rate This tab is only available if the GOLDENEAGLE TV is in Nicam mode and if the “Nicam monitoring” box is checked in the Basic Configuration tab. Select the ‘Nicam presence & Error Rate’ tab to configure monitoring of the Nicam presence and of the Nicam error rate.
7.2.10. Nicam RF Level This tab is only available if the GOLDENEAGLE TV is in Nicam mode and if the “Nicam monitoring” box is checked in the Basic Configuration tab. Select the ‘Nicam RF level’ tab to configure monitoring of the Nicam RF level.
7.2.11. Nicam AF Level This tab is only available if the GOLDENEAGLE TV is in Nicam mode and if the “Nicam monitoring” box is checked in the Basic Configuration tab. Select the ‘Nicam AF level’ tab to configure monitoring of the Nicam AF level.

Select the ‘AutoConf Scan’ tab or go to the ‘Readings’’AutoConf Scan’ menu to view the list of detected stations. This scan is used to create new stations in the GOLDENEAGLE TV. It gives RF levels for all carriers and channel names when available, including the Nicam RF level for the Nicam version and the Stereo RF level for the PAL Stereo version.
