Handling of the
Because the relay modules of the relay
relay modules
assembly, i.e. the measuring modules and the
power supply and auxiliary relay module,
contain integrated circuits which are sensitive
to static electricity, they should be handled
with care when removed from the case. In
Installation
The relay case is made of an extruded
drawings and
aluminium profile, the collar is of cast aluminium
dimensions
and the cover of a clear UV-stabilized
polycarbonate.
The relay is fixed to the mounting panel by
means of four mounting brackets. The collar is
provided with a rubber gasket providing a IP 54
degree of protection between the case and the
mounting panel.
The cover is locked with two sealable finger
screws. The rubber gasket between the cover
and the collar ensures that the cover, too,
fulfills the IP 54 requirements. The opening
angle of the cover is 145

particular, it is important to protect the separate
modules against static discharge electricity.
An anti-static plastic bag should always be
used for transporting and storing detached
relay modules.
The relay is designed for flush mounting. To
reduce the mounting depth a raising frame of
40 mm, 80 mm or 120 mm for the flush mounting
case can be delivered on separate order.

The rear part of the relay contains two pairs of
terminal blocks. Each terminal is dimensioned
for one or two max. 2.5 mm
diagram adjacent to the terminal blocks
illustrates the connection of the terminals.
When using a raising frame, SPA-ZX 301,
SPA-ZX 302 or SPA-ZX 303, the dimensions
of the panel cut-out are the same as those for
a normal flush mounting case.
