I M PO RTA N T S A FE GUA R D S
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.
2. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put hand mixer in water or other
liquid.This may cause personal injury and/or damage to the product.
3. To disconnect, turn off controls and unplug from outlet.
4. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before assembling or removing parts and
before cleaning.
5. Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas
and other utensils away from beaters during operation to reduce the risk of injury
and/or damage to the hand mixer.
6. DO NOT operate this or any appliance with a frayed or damaged cord or plug or
if appliance malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged in any way. Take this
appliance only to the nearest Authorized Oster
repair or adjustment.
7. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may
cause fire, electrical shock or injury.
8. DO NOT let cord hang over edge of table or countertop.
9. DO NOT let cord touch hot surfaces, including stove or cooktop.
10. DO NOT use outdoors.
11. Remove beaters from hand mixer before washing them.
12. DO NOT place hand mixer on or near a hot burner or in a heated oven.
13. DO NOT use hand mixer for other than its intended use.
14. DO NOT leave hand mixer unattended while it is operating.
15. This appliance is not intended for use by people (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they are supervised or have been instructed how to use the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
16. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children,
or incapacitated individuals.
17. This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote-controlled system.
18. The maximum continuous operation time is 5 minutes.
19. This appliance is intended for use in household and similar environments, such
as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and similar venues, farm houses, and by
clients in hotels, motels and other comparable residential environments, and in
bed and breakfasts.
20. DO NOT turn ON the HeatSoft™ function or power ON the appliance while stored
in the Storage Case.
