To switch on the alternating current the input signal will be on and the thyristor will switch off at first Zero Crossing voltage with no input signal.

Some models also include an analog output for retransmitting a measured value to other automation equipment. This section describes the various functions of these inputs and outputs and how they interact with other features of the power controller.
