    GENERAL This operation manual covers King Crimper 800-2000 -models of crimping machines. KC800, KC1200 and KC2000 are an electrically operated hydraulic crimping machine for industrial and hydraulic hose assemblies. The crimping machine comprises a crimping head, a hydraulic unit and a base.

    HELP PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT DISPOSAL OF THE PACKING MATERIAL The transport and protective packing is mostly manufactured from the recycled or recyclable materials. Please check local environmental regulations before disposing of packing materials. Rather than throwing these materials away, please take them to your community recycling centre. DISPOSAL OF YOUR OLD MACHINE Old machines contain materials which can be recycled.

    WARNINGS GENERAL Use only original Lillbacka Engineered Finn-Power die sets in your Finn-Power crimping machines. Installing and using third party die sets are voiding any warranties, and all liability what so ever nature is rejected. Using third party dies sets will be done solely on users own risk and recourse.

    ELECTRICAL CONNECTION CAUTION! Check that the machine voltage (see type plate) is equal to your supply voltage. For proper installation to local code, consult a licensed contractor. Open the maintenance cover of the hydraulic unit. Bring the supply cable through the hole on lower edge of safety net and guide it through the hole on the back side of the electric box.

  • Page 14: Brief Intro

    BRIEF INTRO START UP Start the machine from the supply disconnecting device. Switch on the control by pushing the Power on -button. NOTE! In default settings the motor gets started when the Crimping-button is pressed or some automatic mode is used. The motor stops in a preset time, if the machine is not used. If the control won’t start, make sure the Emergency stop -button is not pressed down.

    THE DIE SETS Use only original Finn-Power die sets in Finn-Power crimping machines. King Crimper crimping machines are designed for crimping large fittings by using special dies. Also FP170 special dies can be used. For FP170 special die sets, adapter dies (1) must be installed in the machine's master dies (2).

    CRIMPING CAUTION! WHEN CRIMPING A FITTING, HOLD THE HOSE FAR ENOUGH TO AVOID CRIMPING YOUR HAND! 1. Select the crimping mode. 2. Press the start button. 3. Adjust the recommended crimping diameter. 4. Press the crimping button until the dies hold the fitting lightly.

GREASING AND CLEANING • Lubricate the master dies and sliding plates daily with FINN-POWER grease. • Close the master dies loosely before lubricating them. • Grease (1) sliding plates through 12 nipples. • Grease (2) small master die through 2 grease nipples per each die (16 nipples in all).

    IF THE MACHINE DOES NOT WORK… If the motor doesn’t start up Check that the motor circuit breaker is on position 1. If the problem is not disappearing, contact the service. If the motor starts up but the dies don’t move Make sure that the UC control is in manual mode.

    Guarantee repairs shall be carried out at Lillbacka Powerco Oy, Alahärmä, Finland, or by an authorized Finn-Power service. In case guarantee repair is demanded, the customer has to prove that the machine is under guarantee.
