Problem
Hood doesn't work
Poor Airflow
Motor running, but no
airflow
After running for
a while, the motor
stops.
Strong cooking smell

Possible Cause
Electric Supply
Aluminum grease filters are
clogged
Charcoal filters are clogged
Butterfly valve jammed
The high temperature safety
device is activated.
The hood is installed to close to
the stove
Charcoal filters are not installed
Oil cup missing or not installed
Aluminum grease filter saturated
Fan blade problem
What To Do
Check that the hood is plugged into a receptacle.
Check that the power is turned on.
Clean and dry the filters, and then reassemble
Replace the charcoal filters.
Call for service.
The kitchen is not sufficiently ventilated.
The hood must be a minimum of 25 5/8" (65 cm)
above the stove.
In re-circulating mode, charcoal filters must be
installed.
Replace aluminum filter and replace oil cup.
Wash the aluminum grease filters
Call for service
