    INTRODUCTION This manual contains all the necessary information on the installation and operation of the hydraulic scoop. Some of the maintenance operations should only be carried out by professional technicians. If you require this information and the maintenance steps, please contact your dealer. Also included in this manual are a number of safety instructions to create a safe working environment.

    In the event that equipment, procedures, work methods or working techniques are used that are not specifically advised by the CAM attachments company, it is necessary to make sure that there is no danger to the operator or other people.
  • Page 10: Transport And Storage

    TRANSPORT AND STORAGE 1. Storage The hydraulic scoop must always be stored in a dry, frost-free and temperature-controlled environment. Do not store this product outside in a wet environment. Store the hydraulic scoop in a safe place and make sure it can’t fall over. Lubricate metal parts with an anti-corrosive agent (REF 166TA1570 or REF 143TA6901).

    • The assembly and installation must be carried out by an expert. • Make sure that the goods and packaging are in good condition. • Before commissioning, carry out a risk analysis on the assembly of the CAM attachment with the forklift.
  • Page 12 3. Make sure the scoop is located on a flat surface centrally in front of the vehicle in its horizontal position (do not tilt the hydraulic scoop during the installation). 4. Secure the hydraulic scoop onto the forks with the provided screws on the fork pockets. Make sure the hydraulic scoop cannot slip from the forks.

    • For safety reasons, arbitrary adaptations or modifications to the equipment are prohibited. • In the event of non-envisaged workmanship or intervention or following a procedure different to that indicated in the manual, consult CAM attachments before proceeding in order to ascertain its feasibility.

    MAINTENANCE 7.1. Safety instructions for the maintenance of the product • For maintenance, place the hydraulic scoop in its lowest position to the ground. Switch off the vehicle’s engine and remove the key. • Before maintaining the hydraulic scoop, carefully read the instructions in the manual of your lifting device.
  • Page 17 2. Cleaning Only clean the equipment with a cloth dampened in a soap solution (REF 131TA5500)* or TotalSource wipes (REF 147TA3378). Do not use solvents, petrol, strong detergents etc. If the equipment is heavily soiled, the use of a pressure cleaner is only permitted providing that it is set to a maximum of 200 bar.

    FINAL DECOMMISSIONING AND DISPOSAL Final, proper decommissioning or disposal of the product must be performed in accordance with the regulations of the country in which the product is used. In particular, regulations governing the disposal of batteries, fuels and electronic and electrical systems must be observed. Waste packaging should be sorted and put into solid dustbins according to the materials and be collected by the local special environmental protection bureau.
