Unpack your Edge Intelligence unit to find the following components:

Power Adapter
Thermal Pads

Installation

There are two ways to connect your unit to access the user interface of EI:
▪
Connect the device to a monitor using the VGA cable and peripherals
▪ Use Cognex's DataMan Setup Tool (6.1.8) to discover Edge Intelligence and then remotely
connect via a web browser
Perform the steps below before connecting to the web user interface:
1. Connect Edge Intelligence (EI) to your Enterprise network using the External Ethernet port.

2. Connect EI to your reader network LAN using the Internal ethernet port.
3. Connect EI to power and start the device.
