    Linksys E1000 Chapter 1: Product Overview Thank you for choosing the Linksys E1000 Wireless-N Router . The Router lets you access the Internet via a wireless connection or through one of its four switched ports . You can also use the Router to share resources such as computers, printers and files .

    Linksys E1000 Advanced Settings If you are an advanced user familiar with router administration, you can access the browser-based utility to use the advanced configuration settings of the Router .     Linksys E1000 Manually Adding Client To manually assign an IP • address, enter the client’s name in the Enter  Client  Name field . Enter the IP address you want it to have in the Assign IP Address field . Enter its MAC address in the To This MAC Address field .

These settings should only be adjusted by an advanced user because incorrect settings can reduce wireless performance . In most cases, keep the default settings .

The Router sends RTS frames to a particular receiving station and negotiates the sending of a data frame .
