Announced Transfer
Description:
Announced Transfer automatically puts the call on System Hold so that the transferring
extension can notify the receiving extension before actually sending the call. To receive an
Announced Transfer, receiving extension just wait on the line to be automatically connected to
the transferred caller. Both the transferring and receiving extensions receive a "fast flash" Hold
indication, making the call easy to identify while all the other KTS' see a "slow flash". If the
call is not sent within the Announced Transfer Recall interval, the call then shows a "slow
flash" at the receiving extension, and re-rings the transferring extension.
Station Application:
KTS, SLT
Operation:
To make an Announced Transfer:
<KTS>
1. Press ICM key, then dial extension number.
2. Announce the call.
3. Press TRFR key or hang up (according to #80-01-E)
<SLT>
1. Flash Hook-switch.
2. Dial extension number.
3. Announce the call.
4. Hang up.
To receive an Announced Transfer:
<KTS>
1. Lift handset when notified of the call.
2. Just wait on the line to be automatically connected to the transferred caller.
<SLT>
1. Lift handset to answer a call.
2. Just wait on the line to be automatically connected to the transferred caller.
