SAFETY
PRECAUTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE.

WARNING : To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:
1. Do not leave vacuum cleaner when plugged in. Unplug it when no use and before
servicing.
2. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces
3. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
4. Use only as described in this manual.
5. Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If vacuum cleaner is not working as it should,
has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, go to the service
center.
6. Do not pull or carry on cord, use cord as a handle, close door on cord, or pull cord
around sharp edges or corners. Do not run vacuum cleaner over cord. Keep cord away
from heated surfaces.
7. Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
8. Do not handle plug or vacuum cleaner with wet hands.
9. Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked. Keep free
of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce airflow.
10. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of body away from openings and moving
parts.
11. Turn all controls off before unplugging.
12. Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
13. Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in
areas where they may be present.
14. Hold plug when rewinding onto cord reel. Do not allow plug to whip when rewinding.
15. Unplug before connecting the hose.
16. Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or
hot ashes.
17. Do not use without dust bag and/or filter in place.
18. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

19. Do not immerse the body of the cleaner or the electrical cord or plug in water or liquids.
20. Do not use attachments or accessories not recommended by the manufacturer.
21. Close supervision is necessary when an appliance is used near children. Children should
not operate this appliance.
22. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
23. This appliance is for household use. Do not use for any purpose not expressly specified
in this manual.
24. There are no user serviceable parts in this appliance. Unauthorised dismantling or
servicing will void the warranty.
25. Do not use harsh abrasives, or caustic cleaners when cleaning this appliance.
26. Store the appliance away from direct sunlight, with all accessories detached and out of
the reach of children.
27. Do not use this appliance to pick up water as the vacuum cleaner is for dry use only.
IMPORTANT NOTICE - PLEASE READ BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT!
THIS CLEANER WORKS BY SUCKING AIR AT HIGH PRESSURE THROUGH A
POWERFUL MOTOR. FOR EFFICIENT AND SAFE OPERATION IT IS ESSENTIAL
THAT ALL THE AIRWAYS AND FILTERS ARE CLEANED AT REGULAR
INTERVALS AND THAT THE DUST IS EMPTIED BEFORE THE DUST CONTAINER
IS FULL AND AFTER EVERY USE OF THE APPLIANCE.

FAILURE TO CLEAN THE FILTERS AND EMPTY THE DUST CONTAINER WILL
RESTRICT THE AIRFLOW. THIS WILL RESULT IN POOR CLEANER PERFOR-
MANCE.
LONG TERM NEGLECT WILL BLOCK THE AIRFLOW AND MAY DAMAGE
THE CLEANER BEYOND REPAIR. ANY DAMAGE CAUSED BY FAILURE TO
CLEAN THE FILTERS, AIRWAYS AND DUST CONTAINER AS SPECIFIED IN
THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL NOT BE COVERED BY THE WARRANTY.
