The sprocket on the Hawksmoor TOOLSTATION M1L-5ET-200 750W electric pole saw may not be turning when plugged in due to one or more of the following reasons:
1. Chain Tension Too Tight: Over-tensioning the chain can prevent the sprocket from turning. Loosen the SDS locking knob slightly and adjust the chain tension to the correct level.
2. Sprocket Cover Not Properly Fitted: If the sprocket cover is not securely attached, the sprocket may not engage. Ensure part C is correctly inserted and you hear a click indicating proper fit.
3. Power Not Reaching the Motor: Check that the saw is properly plugged in and the power source is working.
4. Safety Lock Not Engaged: The lock-off button must be pushed before the trigger is pulled. Ensure both hands are in the correct position and the lock-off button is used as instructed.
5. Internal Fault or Blockage: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, there may be an internal fault or mechanical blockage preventing the sprocket from rotating.
Always unplug the saw before performing any checks or adjustments.
