4.3.
Load Ramp
4.3.1. Locate load ramp (9) onto brackets at the end of the base (8).
5. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
5.1.
Before use, check that the lift is level and on a suitable surface, that the platform is fully lowered and that the extension arms (28) are
fully extended beneath the hinged section of the table (23).
5.2.
Open the front wheel clamp jaws to give clearance for the motorcycle tyre.
5.3.
Wheel the motorcycle up the loading ramp onto the platform.
WARNING! Ensure that there is adequate clearance between the underside of the motorcycle and the point where the loading ramp
and platform meet. Failure to do so may cause damage.
p
5.4.
Support the motorcycle on the centre stand, or with a paddock stand, and clamp the front wheel.
5.5.
Raise the platform by pumping the foot pedal (d).
5.6.
When fully raised insert the safety bar (18) between the arm (17) and the base (8) to prevent the platform from accidentally descending.
5.7.
To lower the rear hinged section of the table, for simplified rear wheel removal, slide the extension arms (28) into the table framework.
5.8.
When work is complete, check under the platform to ensure there are no obstructions and that it is safe to lower the unit.
5.9.
Ensure that the extension bars are fully supporting the rear section of the table.
5.10. Remove the safety bar (18).
5.11. Press the release foot pedal (e) to lower the platform.
5.12. When platform is fully lowered, loosen the front wheel clamp and remove the motorcycle from the lift.
6. MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT: Only fully qualified personnel should attempt maintenance or repair.
6.1.
When the lift is not in use, the platform must be in the lowest position to minimise hydraulic ram and piston corrosion.
6.2.
Keep the lift clean and wipe off any oil or grease. Lubricate all moving parts with acid-free oil.
6.3.
Before each use, ensure components are not damaged, malfunctioning or missing. If any suspect item is found remove the lift from
service and take the necessary action to remedy the problem.
DO NOT use the lift if it is believed to have been subjected to abnormal shock or load. Inspect and take appropriate action.
6.4.
Periodically check the pump piston and piston rod for signs of corrosion. Clean exposed areas with a clean oiled cloth.
WARNING! Only a good quality hydraulic oil, such as SEALEY HYDRAULIC JACK OIL must be used, DO NOT use brake fluid.
p
IMPORTANT: NO RESPONSIBILITY IS ACCEPTED FOR INCORRECT USE OF THE LIFT.
