Installation Overview:

The SC-12 Cab Master is an accessory to the base SC-12 system. It is not required for proper
operation of the control system. An SC-12 Cab Master provides a convenient striping overview
and can take control of either carriage, which allows it to be used as a spare SC-12 Master.

Recommended location:

The SC-12 Cab Master is usually located in the front cab, between the driver and passenger. It
can be used for single-operator operations or with a driver and passenger.

Designation:

Normal SC-12 Masters are designated Left or Right. The SC-12 Cab Master has neither
designation at shipping, but can override either side using the Quick Setup menu.

Mounting:

The optimal viewing angle for the SC-12 Cab Master display is straight-on or from the bottom
up. Skip-Line recommends the SC-12 Cab Master be mounted in a manner that can be "tilted"
so the top of the unit is further away from the operator than the bottom of the unit.
The SC-12 Cab Master has nutserts on either side of the unit (to the left and to the right of the
front panel). These nutserts should be utilized so the SC-12 Cab Master is tiltable, using a
U-shaped bracket.
The nutserts accept a Skip-Line supplied #14-32 Hex Bolt. ¾" length (12mm x 1.75mm x 20mm)
Please mount in a location free from exposure to:

Communications Cabling

The SC-12 Cab Master gets power and communications from one of the BUS-012 hubs (usually
the front hub, although it does not matter) via a CAT5 cable. Connect the SC-12 Cab Master to
