Product Description The Bestlift® PL400H and PL400HE allow patients up to 400lbs to be lifted and transferred safely with minimal physical effort provided by the operator. The PL400H/HE can lift the patient with ease from the floor to the bed. The 6 point spreader bar provides added comfort for the patient while moving from any surface.
DEFINITIONS & SYMBOLS n this manual, the user refers to the patient or resident and may be used interchangeably at different times. Caregiver refers to the operator or person who is assisting with the transfer. Symbols used in this manual and on the product and their meanings: Warning! • While being lifted in a sling, always keep the user/patient centered over the base and facing the caregiver operating the lifter. • Never leave the user/patient unattended during lifting. Installation Step 1: Remove base from box. Step 2: Remove the white cap nut and bolt from the base bracket. Step 3: Insert the mast into the base bracket, align the holes on the bracket with hole on the mast. Reinsert the bolt and the cap nut, and use a wrench to tighten the nut.

Step 4: Remove the cap nut and bolt on the boom. Do not remove the plastic U shaped washer or the bushing inside the hole of the boom, reinsert and align the holes of the plastic washer and bushing if needed. Step 5: Insert the boom with the plastic washer as follows into the bracket at the top of the mast.

Step 6: Install the hydraulic pump/electric actuator, and secure the lower and upper ends of the pump/actuator to the bracket on the mast and boom mast using a pin and retaining ring as follows. Warning: When installing the upper end of the PUMP, make sure pump is aligned to the hole on bracket that is closer to the mast.

Emergency Lowering Mechanism Contact your dealer immediately if standard troubleshooting techniques do not correct the failure. Do not attempt to lift until all failure and safety issues have been resolved. In case of lift failure, please follow the procedures below to safely lower the user. The Emergency Lowering Device is located at the top of the actuator shaft.
Troubleshooting Guide The following list of encountered problems and solutions will assist you in determining what may be causing your patient lift not to function as designed. If you have a problem occurring which is not listed below please contact your dealer or technical support for help. Do not attempt to repair or replace components or parts on your lift as this may void your warranty or cause further problems that may result in patient injury.
Bestcare LLC Single Patient Slings are designed for limited use with one patient and may not be washed. Bestcare will replace any disposable slings found to have a manufacturing defect. Normal wear and tear will not be covered under warranty.
