The procedures in this manual must be followed exactly. The cell must be installed horizontally with the cord facing upwards to avoid buildup of flammable gases which can result in FIRE OR EXPLOSION. - Page 15 Retrofitted Installation The retrofitted installation is a factory designed TruClear with threaded unions built into the housing unit. This method can be used to replace an existing chlorine generator or as a new installation. Determine the desired location for the cell as the last piece of equipment before the return inlet to the pool, on a pipe segment at least 16 inches long.
