7. Assembly
Fitting 4" Diameter Hose to the Machine
The optional 4" diameter hose can be fitted to the inlet of the dust extractor
using either the DX100H 100 mm Dust Extraction Jubilee Clip as shown in
Fig 7.11 or the DX100X 100 mm Easy Fit Hose Cuff as shown in Fig 7.12.
Fitting the 2 1/2" Diameter Hose to the Machine
To connect the optional 2 1/2" diameter hose the optional 40025 4" to 2.5"
Reducer must be fitted to the 4" inlet and the hose fitted to the reducer as
shown in Fig 7.13.
Using the Acoustic Outlet
Each motor of the dust extractor features an acoustic outlet as shown in Fig
7.14. This reduces the noise level of the machine during operation. For even
greater noise reduction the optional 2 1/2" hose can be fitted as shown in
Fig 7.15 by removing the cover of the acoustic outlet and placing the
hose inside.
Placing the end of the hose through an outlet such as a window to a separate
area will direct the remaining noise outside of the working area.
Connecting the Hose to the Dust Extraction Outlet of the
Woodworking Machine
Many woodworking machines feature 4" / 100 mm outlets to allow the
4" hose to be connected directly to the machine. For outlets of other sizes
