Functions - Nesco VS-09 Care/Use Manual

1. Vac&Seal / Cancel - Button will start the automatic vacuuming and sealing or
press to cancel the machine at anytime during operation.
2. Canister - Press when vacuum sealing using the canister accessory. (not
included). Vacuum sealing accessories can be purchased online.
3. Pulse Vacuum - Press this button to vacuum manually, release button to stop.
Repeat this process until desired vacuum pressure is reached. Then press
"manual seal" to complete vacuum seal.
4. Manual Seal - This button provides two functions:
• To seal the open end of a bag without vacuum.
• When the automatic "Vac&Seal" function is in operation, press the button
to stop the vacuum and immediately start to seal the bag so that vacuum
pressure inside the bag can be controlled to avoid crushing delicate items.
5. Seal Time Selection - Choose normal or extended setting depending on type
of food. If you have foods that are wet, choose extended.
6. Indicator Lights - Indicates the status of vacuum or seal process.
7. Front Handle - Lift handle to unlock and open cover.
8. Hose Port - Insert the hose accessory when sealing in canisters, universal lids,
bottle savers and jar attachments (not included).
9. Bag Cutter - Press and slide in one direction to cut bags of a desired size.
10. Sealing Gasket - Guarantee that a vacuum will be maintained in the chamber,
thus allowing air to be removed from bags and containers. Make sure the
lid of appliance is not locked when not in use and during storage to prevent
deformation of the gaskets.
11. Vacuum Chamber - Position the open end of the bag inside the chamber,
draws air from the bag and collect any excess liquid.
12. Sealing Bar - Place bag to be sealed over this bar.
13. Sealing Element - Non-stick heating element that seals the bag and prevents
it from sticking to the bar.
14. Hose - For sealing containers (not included).
