    2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 2.1.1 General warnings Proper safety precautions must be observed. This unit must be handled carefully. DO NOT EXPOSE YOURSELF OR OTHERS TO DANGER. Follow these general rules. Do not permit others to use this machine unless they are thoroughly responsible and have read, and understand the machine manual and are trained in its operation.

    3. INTENDED USE 3.1 Brush cutter and grass trimmer 3.1.1 Intended use This machine can be used as a trimmer with the cutting edge, and as a brush cutter with the cutting blade. The grass trimmer must be strictly and only to cut grass or weeds that are not too dense.

    5. OPERATION 5.1 GETTING STARTED 5.1.1 Handle assembly (Fig. 3) a). Place the tool on a flat, solid and clean surface. b). Place the handle holder under the rubber device on the tube. c). Place the handle on the tube and align the Fig.3 Fig.3 holes.

An increase in bar oil flow rate will speed oil consumption, requiring more frequent checks on the oil reservoir. To ensure sufficient lubrication, it may be necessary to check the oil level more frequently than at fuel tank refills. The guide bar and chain are lubricated automatically by a pump that operates whenever the chain rotates.

    8.5 WORKING TECHNIQUES 8.5.1 Relieving cut (Fig.PP13) To avoid tearing the bark, kickback or pinching the bar when pruning thick branches, always start by performing a relieving cut (1) on the underside of the branch. To do this apply the cutting attachment and pull it across the bottom of the branch as far as the bar nose.

    • Using a lever-type grease gun, pump lithium-base grease (about 10 grams) into the grease fitting until you see old grease being purged from the gear case, this can be seen in the outer tube cavity. Clean up excess grease, and then reassemble the gear case onto the outer tube Use a wire hook to extract the fuel filter from inside the fuel tank (See Fig.PP17).

    9.6 MAINTENANCE 9.6.1 Daily maintenance WARNING! Always wear gloves when working around the cutter assembly.  Clean any debris or dirt from the hedge trimmer cutter blades. Lubricate the blades before use and after refueling. Check the cutters for damage or incorrect adjustment.
  • Page 40 CAUTION! Do not remove the D-shaped shim washer from the gearcase clamp! The shim washer prevents damage from over-tightening the tube damp screw. a. Loosen the gear case clamp bolt. b. Using a grease gun, pump lithium-base grease (about 10 grams) into the grease fitting on the gear case until you see old grease being purged from the gear case (Fig.HT15).
