We recommend an annual safety check of flues, bricks, door seals, door catches, air controls and the like. When your Fairburn is not in use please ensure that the air control is in the closed position. The air control should always be in the fully open position before opening the fire box door for starting and refuelling. - Page 9 DO NOT burn driftwood, chipboards, painted, stained or treated timbers or glossy print material as they will all damage your Fairburn and flue and void your warranty. NOTE: The heat output of the Fairburn is controlled not only by the air control but also by the type and quality of fuel in the firebox.
