a) General Information
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dan-
gerous playing material for children.
• Protect the appliance from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, steam and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed
if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
• Always turn the connected appliance off before connecting or disconnecting it.
• Disconnect the in-car charger when not in use.
• The product gets hot during use. Ensure sufficient ventilation and never cover the
product during use.
• Do not short-circuit the outputs.
• Make sure the cable does not get squeezed, bent or damaged by sharp edges.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room
into a warm one. The condensation generated could destroy the product. A wall
plug transformer also poses the risk of fatal injury due to electric shock! Allow the
device to reach room temperature before connecting and using it. This may take
several hours.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the
appliance.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs must only be completed by a technician
or an authorised repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
b) Connected Devices
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are
connected to the product.
Operation
Always switch off the desired device before connecting it to the respective port on
the in-car charger. Make sure the connection is correct. If the product is not con-
nected properly, it could overheat or cause an electric shock or fire.
Make sure your device matches the power supply data of the in-car charger. Ob-
serve the information in chapter "Technical Data".
• When switched off, connect the apple device to the Lightning connector on the in-car
charger.
• When switched off, connect the USB device to the USB port on the in-car charger.
• Connect the in-car charger to a voltage socket in your car. The power indicator of the in-car
charger lights up indicating the product is ready for use.
• The connected appliance(s) will then be charged. If you want to use the connected
appliance(s) you may now switch it/them on.
• Switch off the connected device before disconnecting the in-car charger from the vehicle
voltage socket.
• Disconnect the in-car charger from the cigarette lighter after use.
You may use the in-car charger with the engine running or off. You should, however,
not start the engine when the in-car charger is connected, as the vehicle voltage
socket disconnects during engine start (not necessarily applicable for all vehicle
types). If the engine is switched off, drawing current over a longer period of time will
discharge the vehicle battery.
Care and Cleaning
• Disconnect the product from the mains before each cleaning.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as
they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
• Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
