*BEFORE FIRST USE:
Before using your sharpener for the first time, it is important to saturate the
sharpening stones with oil. Let drops of the oil sink into the stones until the oil no
longer absorbs, and begins to pool on the surface. Saturate the upper stone by
tilting the sharpener back and holding the lid in one hand.
1. Make sure the sharpener is
plugged in. Put a drop of oil on both
sharpening stones.
4. Hold down the lid and push the
button for 30 seconds.

6. Repeat steps 1-5 until your blade
is sharp. For every blade used in the
sharpener the first time, the process will
take more repetition. After a blade has
already been sharpened, the process will
be much faster.
To test if your blade is sharp enough, try
using it in your cutter to cut some scrap
fabric.
If you wish, you may lock the lid closed
with the latch while sharpening.
